Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Crone Beauty artwork and books

About the Artwork

Yes, all of my work is signed and dated. Each piece also comes with a certificate of authenticity to verify its originality and quality.

I primarily use acrylic paints, some spray paints, often on raw canvas, sometimes on gessoed canvas. The hardwood stretcher bars are custom-made by a master carpenter and are 3 inches deep, giving the pieces a substantial, gallery-quality presence. Framed works are set in 2-inch deep hardwood floater frames.

Yes. All paintings arrive ready to hang with D-rings and wire attached. If you prefer, I can also remove the canvas from its stretcher bars and ship it rolled in a tube to reduce shipping costs. You would then need to have it stretched and framed locally.

Avoid direct sunlight and extreme humidity. Gently dust the surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use cleaning sprays or chemicals. Detailed care instructions are included with each piece.

Choose a well-lit space that complements the energy of the piece, avoiding direct sun or excessive moisture. Trust your intuition. If you'd like guidance, feel free to reach out to me at gabrielle@cronebeauty.com.

About the Books

These books are for women navigating change, reinvention, creativity, boundaries, purpose, pleasure, and personal freedom. While many readers discover Crone Beauty during midlife, the themes resonate across generations—from younger women seeking guidance to elders embracing new chapters.

Yes. Each book stands alone. Book 1 (How to Get Your Broom Back) is the manifesto and makes a natural starting point, but follow your intuition.

The first two books in The Crone Beauty Series are available now: How to Get Your Broom Back and Hot Flashes, Cold Truths. Additional titles will be released as they are completed. Follow along on Substack for release announcements, previews, and updates.

The books and paintings explore many of the same themes—reinvention, identity, power, creativity, and personal transformation. Sometimes they connect directly; other times they stand on their own. Together they are different expressions of the Crone Beauty philosophy.
