The Process
An Incantation in Paint. A Sacred Rebellion.
Herbs, crushed crystals, and essential oils are stirred into pigments, merging mysticism with mobilizing, transforming each piece into a visual incantation. Because at its core, my art is a spell for collective healing. To create is to insist on a future woven with compassion, hope, and the quiet courage of community.
My art celebrates the wisdom and resilience of the Crone Archetype. Like the Earth, my paintings are maps of scars and sowing, humming a harmony of resistance and persistence, a song sung for eons by forests, rivers, and wildflowers stubbornly pushing through cracks in stone.
Each painting is an act of devotion: layered textures mimic lichen claiming rock, colours buzz like pollinators at dawn, and iconic peace symbols appear throughout my work, many hidden like seeds tucked into soil. These symbols are silent invitations: to gather, to resist, to reimagine. This is beauty with purpose.
Nature is my co-conspirator. From the windswept shores of Lake Huron to the ancient forests I call home, I gather stories, of roots knitting eroded soil back together, of mycelium weaving secret alliances underground. The process begins in gratitude (barefoot walks, whispered thanks to the land) and unfolds onto the canvas as both a love letter and a manifesto.
