THE ARTIST & AUTHOR
Gabrielle St. George is a Canadian artist and author whose multidisciplinary practice spans painting, publishing, and screenwriting. She creates original abstract paintings, fine art prints, and now, an eleven-book empowerment series for women over 50.
An award-winning, internationally published author and produced screenwriter with over 100 television credits, her stories are grounded in transformation, resilience, and radical hope. Gabrielle trained in Fine Arts at York University and honed her distinctive visual language under the mentorship of renowned artists. Her paintings have found homes in private, corporate, and gallery collections across North America.
But it wasn't until 2021, after relocating to the wild edge of Ontario's Bruce Peninsula, that her creative threads wove into one cohesive vision: Crone Beauty.
Immersed in ancient forests and the untamed waters of Lake Huron, Gabrielle experienced a creative reawakening. The Crone Beauty book series emerged as her magnum opus—eleven volumes released monthly throughout 2026 and 2027, each a standalone guide to a different facet of midlife reinvention. From How to Get Your Broom Back (the manifesto) to Rebel Legacy (the culmination), the books read like coffee-with-a-girlfriend conversations laced with ritual, art practices, inward contemplation, and outward incantation.
Alongside the books came the Zodiac Paintings—cosmic companions that translate each volume's energy into visual form. Nature, mysticism, ancestral knowledge, and feminist resistance pulse through every canvas. Her work doesn't simply hang on walls; it hums. It opens thresholds between the tangible and the unseen.
Across all mediums, Gabrielle builds worlds where the Crone Archetype reigns—not as diminishment, but as wisdom incarnate. Wild power reclaimed. The heart of the rebellion.
THE PHILOSOPHY
Crone Beauty is a rebellion in progress—an evolving body of work rooted in material process, lived experience, and intentional creation.
Founded by artist and author Gabrielle St. George, Crone Beauty is, at its heart, a practically magical field guide to thriving wild after 50—a philosophy built across empowerment books, original abstract paintings, and daily acts of resistance.
The books are fierce love letters to women over 50: eleven volumes of wisdom touching everything from menopause empowerment to micro-activism, from reclaiming your voice to leaving a rebel legacy. They are the verbal manifestation of Crone Beauty—practical, magical, unapologetically honest.
The art transcends age and gender. These abstract paintings are visual talismans—created for anyone seeking beauty with purpose and a deeper relationship to the unseen. Some pair directly with the books as zodiac-aligned companions. Others exist as standalone works or commissions—each one still a spell, still charged with intention.
Together, they form a cohesive world—a universe where midlife becomes the site of our greatest power, and every piece of art is a door waiting for those ready to walk through.
Crone Beauty — where art, magic, and resistance converge.
THE PROCESS
An Incantation in Paint. A Sacred Rebellion.
Whether writing a chapter on boundary-setting or layering pigment onto canvas, the process is devotion.
For the paintings, I work crushed crystals, herbs, and essential oils directly into the medium, merging mysticism with activism. Each piece becomes a visual incantation—a spell for collective healing, for futures woven with compassion and quiet courage.
Textures echo lichen claiming rock. Colours buzz like pollinators at dawn. Peace symbols appear throughout the work—some bold, many hidden like seeds tucked into soil. Silent invitations to gather, resist, and reimagine. This is beauty with purpose.
Nature is my co-conspirator. From barefoot walks along the shores of Lake Huron to time spent in ancient forests, I gather stories: roots knitting eroded soil, mycelium weaving unseen alliances underground. The work begins in gratitude and unfolds as both love letter and manifesto.
The books follow the same rhythm. Each volume is crafted to feel like sitting across from a wise friend who's lived it, survived it, and come out the other side more powerful. Irreverent humour meets deep wisdom. Practical tools meet mystical practice. One spell, spoken in different tongues.
Devotion. Resistance. Beauty with purpose.
